'La La Land' Shines in Golden Globe Awards 2017 & Other Winners
As the 74th Golden Globe Awards starts the Hollywood's award season, "La La Land" begins it with bagging major awards. Just today, the movie starring "The Amazing Spider-Man 2's" Emma Stone and "Drive's" Ryan Gosling breaks the record for most number of awards won by a movie in Golden Globe.
"La La Land" is the main contender for the Golden Globe Awards 2017. Gosling and Stone had led this year's nominees with seven nominations. Aside from acting award nominations, the movie was also aiming to take home the award for best comedy picture, screenplay, score, song, and director.
According to BBC, "La La Land" has won each category where it was nominated. This means the stars of the movie, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling
got the trophies for the acting categories and the rest is history.
The record was officially broken when "La La Land" was called for winning the best comedy picture
which marked its seventh win for the night. The previous record holders had six awards and these were the 1975 movie, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," and the 1978 movie, "Midnight Express."
