George Michael, 53, Died on Christmas Day, Fans Pay Tribute
80's pop superstar, George Michael died at the age of 53 in his home at Goring-on-Thames due to suspected heart failure. His family confirmed his passing via an official statement released by Thames Valley Police.
It was reported by BBC that the South Central Ambulance Service was called at 13:42 GMT to George Michael's house. Thames Valley Police also came and the singer was already confirmed dead at his home.
George Michael had started his career, in the 1980's, as the other half of Wham! He later launched a solo career which was also very successful.
Friends and Fans Mourn
First to share his sadness was George Michael's former bandmate in Wham!, Andrew Ridgeley. He wrote on Twitter that he is heartbroken because of his loss of his beloved friend.
James Corden whose first passenger in his Carpool Karaoke was George Michael in 2011 also paid tribute to the late singer on Twitter. The segment was for a British charity, Comic Relief, where Corden and Michael drove around London while singing along to some of Wham!'s famous songs.
