HBO's "Big Little Lies" is set to premiere this coming February 19 at 9PM ET. The latest HBO seven-episode series may seem cute about moms but it's bigger and can turn murderous based on the trailer.
"Big Little Lies" is based on the bestselling novel of the same title written by Liane Moriarty
. The story narrates the story of three first-grader moms who seem to live a perfect life. However, as each page is turned, the shocking truth abouth them is slowly revealed.
"Big Little Lies" all-star main cast includes Reese Witherspoon (Madeline), Nicole Kidman (Celeste), and Shailene Woodley (Jane). It also includes "Tarzan's" Alexander Skarsgard, "Jurassic Park's" Laura Dern, and "The Aviator's" Adam Scott.
"Big Little Lies" is a dark drama and comedy series. As stated by Entertainment Weekly, the teaser seems to remind us to be careful with "nice moms." In one scene, it appears that Madeline and Celeste are welcoming a newcomer in Monterey, Jane. Then, it is quickly followed by arguing people, crashing car, police siren, and a loaded gun.
All of the episodes of "Big Little Lies" is under the direction of "Dallas Buyers Club's" Jean-Marc Vallée as reported by Deadline. It is based on the script made by David E. Kelley. The seven episodes took seven months to film.
